Mr. Vennick’s garage door spring gave out one afternoon with a loud bang, shortly after he parked his car.
We disconnected the customer’s garage door, and then manually raised and locked it in place so he could remove his car. Garage door spring replacement is best performed with an open working space, so letting Mr. Vennick get his car out of the way was necessary. With that out of the way, we eased the remaining tension out of the springs, uncapped them, and removed them from the assembly. We gave the housing rods and cones some fresh oil before installing the new pair of garage door springs and reconnecting the opener.
